A Few Things Fallish

Snack mix...candy corn, fall-colored m&m's, peanuts, pretzels and raisins.

Treats for Madelin's class...idea found here.

Remember these from last year? I had to make them again because they were so easy to make!

The girls playing at the Pumpkin Patch.

What's a trip to the pumpkin patch without taking a picture in one of these? ;)

Chris and the girls picking out gourds and pumpkins.

Party Time for Little Mister

So, yeah, this little shindig happened oh like two weeks ago!
I guess that's what happens in the summer...less time in front of the computer and more time outside.

Anders has become a HUGE Toy Story fan; Buzz Lightyear being one of his faves. I found the cupcake toppers here. I glued them to tongue depressors, they were a bit large but that's what I had and I mean really, Anders could care less. :)

The rest of the Toy Story gang on top of green and purple cupcakes.

Can we say, "Goofy?" Yep, that's Anders for 'ya!!

Some of his presents.

Kate had to be placed in "jail" during part of the party. Such is the life of the baby of the family!

Madelin and some of the party guests racing boats in the pond (in our backyard).

Our Goofy Grouch Turns Three!

This little boy is either making me laugh or making me want to pull my hair out!!
He is extremely goofy and at times, very grouchy...definitely a "Mason" trait.
Why he is like his daddy...he is content to be by himself and resembles him!
Why he is like his mommy...he is intense and cautious!
He tries to make Madelin happy when she is sad by being goofy and Madelin "pushes his buttons" like no one else can (which brings out the beast)!
He adores "Kater," "Kater Booger," "Kater Bugger" and finds her to be quite entertaining!
Some of his LIKES include watching t.v. especially Super Readers and Wild Kratts, Buzz Lightyear, "Wightming" McQueen, fruit, raisins, pulling his pants off when they get wet (any kind of liquid ;)) and playing outside.

Me with my birthday boy!!

His first bike!

New light "saver" and he was happy to get it! :)

Ice cream made by momma.

Blowing out his candles!

Cruisin on his new ride, with help from daddy!
His comment was, "Help me daddy, I might fall off!" Hmmm...sounds just like something I might say.

I can't wait to see what the future holds for this little man!!! :)

"The Duo" and Their Homemade Frozen Popsicles

With it feeling like the middle of summer lately, I figured it was time to break out the popsicle molds. Mixed berries blended with vanilla yogurt and milk and then frozen in popsicle molds = some delicious and refreshing treats!
And you know, these photos wouldn't be complete without showing the true personalities of my children!! Anders and his forced "I'll smile for you, mom, if I must" face and Madelin and her "I'm seven and must pose" face.
 Some more posing!
That's some good stuff, mom! :)

A Day in the Life of the Household Comedian...

If you got our Christmas card, you know that I refer to this little man as the Household Comedian. I thought I would share some recent photos of him "in action."
Now, mind you, this poor kid is stuck at home with a baby and a nursing momma, so he spends alot of time using his crazy imagination or watching t.v.
Here's the little man at his finest...
"Posing" for Madelin, the photographer! This is a "Mom, do you have to take a picture of me??" look. As he is wearing his super-hero cape; which he wears almost all day long (even during naps and bedtime)!
I went to check on him during naptime and this is where I found him...all snuggled up on Madelin's bed.
That's the perk of sharing a bedroom...two beds to choose from. ;)
Oh-so-unhappy to model his new tool belt!
Napping with his ski goggles; which, like the cape, he wears almost all day long.
He gets a nice, looking hair-do from them!
This is what happens when we let little man get himself ready for bathtime!
He hasn't quite figured out how to take his shirt off, yet. :)
And, yes, the boy wears alot of striped shirts!!!
